We welcome you to the 2008 Sunset Moulding-Yuba City Racquet Club Men’s Challenger and hope you enjoy your
stay in Yuba City.
The following information should answer
most of your questions regarding our tournament.

WILDCARD - May 30 & 31
A wildcard tournament will be held for this event
with one wildcard entry awarded into the Qualifying tournament. This
tournament is limited to the first 16 entrants. (Date of the wildcard
event, May 30 - 31 -- entries close at May 30, 9:00 am.)
Tournament begins at 10am. Public Blind Draw - No Seeding. Format will be an 8 game
pro set with super tiebreaker at 8 all. The semifinals and finals format
will be 2 out of 3 regular sets with the third set consisting of a super
tiebreaker (first to 10 by 2). Prepay entry fee of $75.00 with
major credit card. No refunds once entry is accepted. Entries will be accepted via email
addressed to Brandy Olmsted,
jennifer@ycrc.com with a valid
credit card number and expiration date or in person at the Yuba City
Racquet Club. 16 player limit. Entrants are encouraged
to enter early due to space constraints.

HOUSING
All Main Draw players will be privately housed, if
desired. Please contact Jane Schroeder (530) 713-8703 or e-mail her at
janeos@pacbell.net for housing questions.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation can be reached at (530) 673-6900 x122.
Transportation will be provided to players between host hotel and the
courts with a scheduled shuttle and private housing and courts with prior
arrangement. If you are in private housing, please ask your host(s) if
they can transport you each day before calling Transportation. The hours
for Transportation will be 8:30 am to 8:00 pm. Link to hotel/restaurant

PLAYERS LOUNGE
The Players Lounge is located on the second floor of
the Yuba City Racquet & Health Club. The Players Lounge will open each day
at 9:00 am and will close following completion of the last match each
evening. The Players Lounge desk number is (530) 673-6900. Entry into the
Players Lounge is through stairs located behind court 5, signs will be
clearly marked. The Players Lounge will feature Internet access, big
screen TV, snacks and drinks.
SHOWERS
Showers are
located in the Yuba City Racquet & Health Club (first floor).
EXERCISE
ROOM Exercise Room is located in the Yuba City Racquet & Health Club and
is open to players during normal business hours beginning Wednesday, May
31.
IPTS
Integrated
Physical Therapy Services will be open to all players from 7:00 am
– 5:00 pm. Director and Certified Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist Torben Ulrich will be providing
physical therapy care for acute and chronic conditions for players in need
of therapy. To make an appointment please call (530) 673-0567 or stop by
the office.
MASSAGE
We have three Certified Massage therapists on staff
at the Yuba City Racquet & Health Club. Therapist Michelle
Valrey is certified in Swedish Massage, Hot Stone, Deep Tissue and
Sports Massage. Our other therapists’, Janeen Clark is trained in
Swedish Massage and Hot Stone and Tracy Guthrie is trained in Swedish
Hot Stone, Deep Tissue, and Reflexology. We will be offering Chair massage with hours posted at
the tournament. Massage Hours: M-Sun. 9:00 am - 7:00 pm If

STRINGING
The stringing service is located in the YCRC Tennis
Department. Please fill out Stringing Request form and attach string to
racquet with any special instructions. The price is $20 per racquet with
string. Price without string will vary.
PRACTICE COURTS
Practice Courts will be available at the Yuba City Racquet Club (2 courts)
and at Rancho Cortez (4 courts) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Sign-up at the
tournament desk for a practice time.
CREDENTIALS
You will find your Player Badge in your packet to
allow free access to the facility. Please wear it or have it available for
entry at the gate. If you need extra badges for Coaches, or others, please
ask the Players representative. If you have a car, parking is available on
the street or you may park at one of our offsite lots and take our free
shuttle to the facility.
FOOD SERVICE
The YCRC Deli is located inside the Yuba City
Racquet Club and will serve from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm You will find
reasonably priced sandwiches, muffins, specialty beverages and other
freshly prepared food selections. In addition, several other vendors will
be spread throughout the facility and providing a wide variety of food
items at a reasonable cost.
PRO-AM ROUND ROBIN
The Pro-Am is the highlight of the week for many of
our sponsors. Pro participation is limited to 12 players. Smack-ball
tennis is
a fun competitive pro-am match with an $500.00 total purse. The Pro-Am will be played 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm with
reception and dinner to follow on Monday, June 4. A
sign-up sheet will be located at the Players Lounge or you may contact the
Tennis Department at (530) 673-6900 x122. Please report to the Stadium
gate by 5:45 pm and check-in.
MEDIA
Stacy Hoffman is our Press Aide. She may like to
arrange post match interviews with radio, television or newspaper
representatives. She is also interested in special interest stories. An
information sheet is enclosed in the player’s information packet.
ATHLETIC TRAINING SERVICES
The athletic trainer is located upstairs adjacent to
the Players Lounge. The hours of service will be posted.
